The Guelph Guild of Storytellers, founded in the early 90's, promotes the oral tradition of storytelling. We enjoy original, traditional, literary and personal stories.
We have monthly business/rehearsal meetings and two concert series. Please check the guild website for current information. www.guelpharts.ca/storytellers.
Fall, winter and spring: Concert first Tuesday evening of each month at the Main Branch of the Guelph Public Library, 100 Norfolk St at Paisley, 7pm. There is a short (5 minutes) open mic time. Experienced tellers with longer stories are encouraged to contact us for a spot on the program. The audience is thinking adults.
Summer: Tea and Tales Concert, every Friday morning, at the Guelph Enabling Gardens in Riverside Park, behind the Evergreen Seniors Centre, 10:30am. These concerts are for active seniors and anyone who wanders by. Bring your own chair if convenient -- on beautiful days we sometimes run out.
We hold business and rehearsal meetings in members' homes the week before each evening performance -- the last Tuesday of the month. Contact us for details.
