Bio: Peter D. Clark is a self-published Canadian best-selling author of 7 books. He is a writer and chronicler of New Brunswick folklore and true stories. He loves entertaining school children and has been telling stories for over a decade. In 1999 Clark completed a 20,000 km cross-Canada Literacy and Book Tour, earning the nickname “The New Brunswick Apostle” in a CBC documentary.

Bio: Joan Meade has storytold worldwide: from Southern California to Dublin and Tokyo and many festivals across Canada. She has provided workshops for universities and teachers and told in many, many libraries and schools. She combines storytelling and art at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. Every summer she does outdoor stories for Tourism Fredericton and for the past three years has entertained during the New Year’s Levee at the request of the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick.

Bio: Elinor has been telling traditional stories in schools, libraries and other venues for nearly twenty years. She works with Learning through the Arts in schools in Western Newfoundland. Living near L'Anse aux Meadows, she especially enjoys Norse myths and folk tales these days, but loves stories from all around the world. In 2005, she received a Canada Council grant to travel to Ireland and told at the Dublin Yarnspinners and the Sean Dunne Literary Festival in Waterford.

Bio: Anita is a traditional singer of Newfoundland songs who became interested in telling stories in the 1970s when she married into a storytelling family in outport Newfoundland. She has a background in folklore, oral history and as a presenter of Newfoundland music and writing. Fairy tales and long ballads are her special interests.

Bio:A St. John’s-based storyteller who works with our local chapter of the Parent-Child Mother Goose Project, Mary Fearon was trained by its founder, Katherine Grier. Fearon has conducted workshops in storytelling, performed in schools and at a day-long storytelling event held in St. John’s a few years ago. She has recently completed, with Lori Fritz, Over the Big Fat Waves, a collection of Newfoundland and Labrador rhymes, songs and language games, for use in literacy programs.

Bio: Since 1997, Dale has been telling ghost stories in downtown St.John's all summer and every Hallowe'en as host of the St. John's Haunted Hike. He also tells traditional tales from Newfoundland, England and Ireland. In 2002, he collaborated with musician Delf Hohmann to present "Under the Juniper Tree: Stories and Songs from the Brothers Grimm" at the Yukon International Storytelling Festival in Whitehorse and the International Sound Symposium in St. John's.

Bio: Professional storyteller Claire Miller has been delighting listeners for fifteen years with her lively renditions of folktales from near and far. Bio: Linda is a founding member of the Storytellers Circle of Halifax, and member of SC/CC since 1995.
