Bio: Steeped in stories over a lifetime, Anne tells stories to provide both teller and listener with moments of laughter, moments of wonder, and moments that offer a window on the human condition. Her stories are primarily from world folklore and literary tales with an overall sense of folktale. As a tale-spinner she has told stories and conducted workshops in many varied settings - schools, libraries, festivals, radio, television, community centres, historic sites, parks, churches, and special storytelling events. Anne works actively with organizations that nurture storytellers, the community of listeners, and the art of storytelling.

Bio:Norma, a writer and storyteller, draws on her childhood experiences growing up outside Glasgow to weave Scottish traditional stories with charming and often hilarious family tales. She has conducted workshops and performed at various storytelling festivals and events in Canada, Scotland, England and Ireland. She ahs also written and performed a one-woman play, Coalmines, Council Houses and Corsets: The Life and Times of a Scottish Granny – adapted from her collection of stories based on her real-life Granny Jamieson.

Bio: Pat has had a singing career as 'The Lullaby Lady'. While wearing that hat, she released 3 international award-winning recordings to encourage parents to sing with their children. Eighteen years ago, as a founding member of the Victoria Storytellers' Guild, she began to explore storytelling and now combines story and song in her performances for audiences of all ages. Bio:Comfort learned to tell stories from Grandparents, uncles, aunties who all lived in the same household. She has told stories as far back as when she learned to talk. Her vivacity in telling folktales among her peers prompted her parents to send her to her new village missionary school. She went to college, taught and rose to become a principal at a time when it was very unpopular to send girls to school in Africa. For her, storytelling has been a useful tool to bring light into her teaching, raising her children and into her life. Since coming to Canada in 1996, she has told stories in hundreds of schools, community centres and colleges, all over the country.

Bio: Victoria storyteller, Jennifer Ferris, has told stories for 15 years in schools, at community events and festivals. Melanie stumbled across theatre at 18, and jumped into storytelling at 37. She and Nan Gregory were a duo from 1984 to 1989. Since then, Melanie has continued telling for all ages in diverse venues across Canada and elsewhere. Folktales, literature and history fill her extensive repertoire. Two favourites - the long Medieval epic, "Tristan and Iseult," and an hour of Emily Carr's stories knit together as "A Song of Small."

Traveling in Siberia over 15 years, Kira connected with indigenous traditions, stories, and people - their lives, history, spirituality, and humour.
