A storyteller for all ages from the very young to seniors, Wendy Berner tells stories from many cultures and has appeared across Canada and overseas in both hemispheres. Wendy also teaches her art form, does community/student projects, staff training and literacy work. Her recording 'Just(?) Desserts' is an "OUR CHOICE AUDIO." Traditional and story songs in many languages are often part of Wendy's performances.

Bio:Besides telling stories at schools, libraries, on CBC Radio, and in the business
communities of Alberta, Gail tells stories at the Edmonton Folk Festival.
Gail has been teaching storytelling courses at the University of Alberta since 1988
and has published seven books on storytelling and folklore. She was the resident
toryteller at Fort Edmonton Park, bringing history alive through story, for thirteen
years and is still the co-organizer of the annual Storytelling Festival held at the Park, now in its 17th year.

Bio: As a teen-ager, Renée Englot began storytelling for children at church; she continues to tell Biblical stories.
Renée also does school programs for elementary and junior high students, and workshops for students and teachers,
beginning and journeyman storytellers, and corporate groups. She has performed at festivals, concerts,
and cafés across Western Canada and the U.S.. Renée’s favourite stories to tell are funny folktales from around

Storytelling for older students. Oral telling of carefully selected stories engages students in a shared
experience of literature and trains listening skills. Storyteller and author, Jennie has a wide
repertoire of Greek and Roman myth and history, folktales, and literature. She has ten years’ experience
teaching grades 5 – 12, undergraduate university and adult extension classes. Jennie tells for any audience
K – adult and weaves story into workshops on storytelling, writing, the Greek alphabet, and Latin/Greek word origins.

Pearl-Ann loves to tell Family, Fairy and Folktales as she travels throughout the
country sharing her love of story. She is recording a Children's Cd in Winnipeg in the
fall of 07 and developing a Cemetery Walk of Heroes for her home town, Wainwright's,
100th Birthday celebration in July 2008! Pearl-Ann does a guided Haunted Walk through
Wainwright every Saturday and Monday in October. It is her belief that you don't have
to be in fairytales to fly - you just need to believe in yourself!

Bio: Merle has been a freelance, professional storyteller for 12 years.
She is resident storyteller at Fort Edmonton Park, tells stories and conducts workshops
for kindergarten students to senior citizens. She tours with the Young Alberta Book Society,

Betty is a founding member of the Calgary Chapter of T.A.L.E.S. She began hearing and telling tales as a child in a
large family. Then, as now, her tales come from both her own experiences and from European Folklore. She has told
stories in schools, libraries, clubs, bookstores, festivals, conferences, Tellabration, and Word on the Street
and has been published in Under the Wide Blue Sky.

Bio: My first love was Rapunzel. My delight in her sad tale of isolation sparked great appreciation for the children that fill my stories today.
