Deidre tells stories at community, school, and university venues. Ranging from antediluvian to contemporary times, her multicultural repertoire includes classical, duet-telling, environmental, fable, folk, legend, original, and personal stories. She organizes and facilitates classes in storytelling, gives presentations, and offers consulting services to other event organizers, storytellers, and teachers.

In 1998, Deidre created, and continues to moderate, the Vancouver Island Storytellers' E-Mail Tree listserv which provides and distributes information of interest to over 225 tellers around Vancouver Island.
