Betty is a founding member of the Calgary Chapter of T.A.L.E.S. She began hearing and telling tales as a child in a large family. Then, as now, her tales come from both her own experiences and from European Folklore. She has told stories in schools, libraries, clubs, bookstores, festivals, conferences, Tellabration, and Word on the Street and has been published in Under the Wide Blue Sky.
